Garbage/Trash is usually played with two players. Each player deals ten cards face down and forms two rows of five. The rest of the cards are put in a draw pile in the center of the table. The first player draws a card The player who completes a series receives one less card in the following rounds. This process continues until a player only receives one card. Winning the Game
After one player completes the ace-ten sequence, the other players take one final round to tie the game.
Play Additional Rounds
There is an alternative but a longer version of the game. It states that those completing the 10-card sequence will now receive 9 cards, while players who did not complete the 10-card sequence will again receive 10 cards.
The game continues as above, but this time the first player to complete a sequence wins the round and in the following round whoever completes the sequence advances to the next lower numbered sequence.
For example, if a player has completed 9 cards, they will now receive 8 cards, and so on. This goes on until the final round if a player completes a round with only one card to turn over.
